The Icon of the Savior, Image Not-Made-By-Hands, is one of the earliest images of Christ known in iconography. The feast of this icon is celebrated on August 16/29, during the afterfeast of the Dormition, and is called the Third Feast-of-the-Savior in August.
This is the main icon of Christ on the Hermitage iconostasis and was painted by a monk at the Hermitage.
